Pasco County extension is hosting four awesome garden events during the month of November. We thought we’d share them with you!
The first event is a Community Garden workshop. Community gardens are a great addition to any neighborhood. If you’ve ever wanted to start one, this is the workshop for you. It takes place on Saturday, November 2nd from 9:00 until noon, and will be held at 36702 State Road 52 in Dade City from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. You can register for free online.
If community gardens aren’t your thing then you might want to check out a Garden Pond workshop instead. This seminar also takes place on November 2nd. You’ll learn how to build the pond, the materials that you will need, and how to maintain your new pond. This also will take place at 36702 State Road 52 in Dade City, in Clayton Hall, from 9 am till 11 pm. Click here to register.
On the 5th there’s a slightly more exotic seminar. This one teaches you how to incorporate fast-growing, colored bamboo into your landscape. This free, short seminar takes place from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm. This one will take place at Hudson Library at 8012 Library Road in Hudson. Register here.
Finally, if you’ve ever been interested in starting a container garden then you’ll want to attend the fourth seminar. Pasco County Extension is going to teach you everything you need to know about making your container garden a success, even during the winter months. This one happens at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center at 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd (US 41) in Land O’ Lakes from 9:00 to 10:30 am on November 9th. Click here to register.
It’s always awesome to see what our local county extensions come up with. If you’ve never tried one of their seminars, you should!
