Fall is here again, which means it’s time to do the biannual task everyone dreads. It’s time to jump up on that ladder to clean your gutters.
And even though there are a variety of tools out there designed to keep you off the ladder, most people find the only way to get their gutters cleaned well enough to do the job is to get up on the ladder and start scooping.
But did you know professional gutter cleaning is one of the services we offer here at Rain Control Gutters? And that it’s a very affordable task? In many cases we can get it done for as low as $60 to $300.
If that seems like kind of a large range, remember the size of the house will play a big role in our estimate. If you have a smaller home you won’t have to pay that much. If you have a larger one we may need to charge you a bit more.
Either way, remember the debris and clogs from your gutters can cause far more expensive problems. Consider:
- The cost to repair water damaged siding could hover around $6000.
- The cost to repair a water damaged foundation could hover around $10,000.
- If your gutter problems cause roof problems the cost to replace the roof could be around $7000.
- If your windows get water damaged you could be looking at $300 to $700 per window.
None of this even begins to touch what happens if your home gets infested with mold because of standing water in your gutters. Nor does it touch other unpleasantness which can happen, such as critters deciding to nest up there (and eventually working their way into your attic), or mosquitos using your gutters as a breeding ground.
So the only other question you have to ask yourself is: how much is your time worth?
It could take you an entire Saturday to do what it only takes our team a couple of hours to do. You work hard. Is cleaning your gutters really the way you want to spend your time?
It has to be done either way, of course, at least if you want to keep your home in good shape.
